Felicia's Creates a New M&M Cocktail

From the Ithaca Journal, November 4, 2008:


Felicia was recently contacted by a member of the Ithaca chapter of Mothers and More. These local moms had an upcoming “Mothers' Night Out” scheduled at Felicia's Atomic Lounge. “We'd love it if you made a signature cocktail for our group,” the mom told me. “Something that goes down easy and packs a punch would be great.” Felicia asked for some direction. “How about something fiery?” the mom suggested. “You could call it the ‘Temper Tantrum.'”

With this concept in mind, Felicia created a bourbon cocktail with a feisty temperament and threw in a little chocolate for good measure (doesn't every woman love chocolate?). The Temper Tantrum warms your blood, invigorates your constitution and leaves you with a lingering slow burn in your mouth. A perfect zap of energy for any Supermom, Superdad or Superhuman.

Temper Tantrum

1 1/2 ounce Makers Mark

1 1/4 ounce Godiva chocolate liqueur

1/4 ounce lime juice

1/4 tsp sugar

Pinch of cayenne

Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain into a chilled martini glass.

We meet at 7:30 PM on the first (and sometimes third) Tuesdays of the month in the conference room at Belle Sherman School (map). **
**There is a venue change for our April meeting.  Meeting will be held @ a member's house.  Please email for details, if interested. 

Figuring out how to fit the rest of who you are with being Mom? Be part of the exciting things happening at Ithaca Mothers & More, where we offer support, education, fun and connections for Ithaca Moms and Moms-to-be.

We hold meetings at night to encourage our members to take time out for themselves (babies under 6 months old are welcome, however). Our topics cover a broad range of subjects concerning women, parenting, and work/life issues. 

 

In addition to regular evening meetings, the Ithaca chapter of Mothers & More will hold other activities, including:

• Book Club

• Mom’s night out

• Playgroups

• And more…  


Come to a meeting and bring your own ideas for activities you’d like to see.

 

The Ithaca Chapter of Mothers & More (chapter #308) welcomes members from Tompkins County and surrounding areas.  Other nearby chapters include the Broome/Tioga Chapter and the Rochester Chapter.
